台积电招了：扩建美国二期工厂 要把3nm带去

前两天，华尔街称台积电正酝酿在美国亚利桑那州扩建二期工厂，工艺直指先进的3nm节点。
对此，台积电在发布10月运营报告的同时予以否认。
不过，EE Times收到台积电的最新邮件回复，对方似乎改口了。台积电发言人Nina Kao表示，鉴于客户对台积电先进技术的强烈需求，我们将考虑在亚利桑那州建设第二家工厂，以增加产能。报道称，相关建筑设施已经破土动工。
一位被警告不能透露名称的投行半导体分析师称，二期工程将瞄准3nm节点(一期5nm+4nm)，预计2025年到2026年投产，以满足美国客户庞大的高性能计算需求。
