尽管盗版游戏、音乐、电影等往往会成为头条，但实际上，盗版电子书同样让业内头疼。
本月初，号称是世界上最大的电子图书馆Z-Library在一夜之间，惨遭封禁。
据不完全统计， 目前已有超过130个相关域名无法访问，打开后只留下一张吓人的FBI警告图，因为已经自动跳转美国司法部托管的网站。
Z-Library有图书界“海盗湾”的称号，截至2022年10月1日，已拥收录超11291325本图书和84837643篇学术文章，然而这一切资源均免费向注册会员开放。
