TypeScript Helper Modules: Making Development Easy

My way of saying thank you to the coder community.

Over the last 4 years of my journey in becoming the software developer 👨‍💻 I am today, a lot of it has become muscle memory to me. And when I really think about it, I surely feel it is a sign of growth 🚀; I’m definitely not done yet.

With that being said, it is only fair to automate, or abstract away, this repetition into an elegant package/bundle that anyone can use in their projects, and not just me. This is my way of thanking, and to give back to, the developer community.

I started working on such a package of my own — a collection of helper functions/modules that I know I use a lot, and I’m sure many do too. Since I work with NodeJS for server side, the package, too, is an npm package 📦 . The biggest advantage of working on such projects is that you get a chance to put some already existing functionalities/implementations under the microscope and understand it better. Who knows you may even find a better way to get things done? This is exactly one of my top priorities when I work on this one; to achieve a level of mastery that makes my past-self proud.

For those who’d like to give it a try, you know just the command to run 😉 — npm install --save @thedevdesigner/helper-modules.

I know this article was a bit different from what I usually write but, thank you for stopping by and reading it.

Make sure to check out my other articles where I talk about React, NodeJS and other good dev stuff.

Until next time…
