MacBook Pro and Mac mini With M2 Pro/Max Chips Coming In November

A few days ago, Apple launched the new iPad Pro, the new iPad, and the new Apple TV 4K. But the Cupertino-based company did this with no ceremony or official event. It just shared the press releases and made the products available for pre-order. As these three are already available for purchase, the company can turn its sights on other products with peace of mind. Next in the line are the high-end MacBook Pro and Mac mini models. They should sport the M2-series chips and become available in November, MacRumors said.

MacBook Pro and Mac mini Will Be Launched Quietly

Earlier this week, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman said that Apple would uncover macOS Ventura on Monday, October 24. The latter will support the new 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pros. Allegedly, the new MacBook Pro will sport the M2 Pro and M2 Max chips. However, the analyst doesn’t think the two laptops will come with many improvements in other aspects. Probably, this is the main reason why Apple doesn’t host separate events for them.

As for the Mac mini, Gurman has previously said that Apple was working on new models based on the M2 and M2 Pro chips. Now, there is every reason to think that the new Mac minis will come along with the Mac Pro.

Gurman pointed out that in recent years, Apple has released new Macs in November several times. For instance, it launched the first-generation 16-inch MacBook Pro in 2019 and three M1-equipped Mac models in 2020.

The current 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models with the M1 Pro and M1 Max chips were out in October 2021. They came with an overhauled design and features by adding “bangs,” HDMI, MagSafe, SD card reader, etc.

Last time, Apple launched a base Mac mini with an M1 chip in November 2020. Currently, the company is still selling a pricier Intel version with an optional Core i5 and Core i7 processor.
