SAC New Model - Allocations is it possible if we make account dimension type as Account

Hi All,

I am facing an issue while i am trying to execute allocation in SAC - New Model (Measure).

I have my Operating Expense amount at

1. Unassigned - Entity

2. Unassigned - Department

I need to allocate this based on my HeadCount(Measure) - FTE (Account).

I have tried different allocation steps

I have tried my source as Entity - Unassigned as well.

But of no use. Could you please share your thoughts on this.

Note: If i make my Account dimension as Generic it works well.

Gopala Krishna Doddala

In new model for allocation with GL Accounts created as account dimension (not generic) you need to select drivers as both Account and Measures even though if its only measures during the setup of the Allocation rule . In your driver you will select the Account (FTE) and Measure (HC) as I assume your headcount values are at that combination.

Please upvote/accept in case this helps you

Hi Gopala

It looks like the granularity is not matching between drivers and the desired target, all dimensions not explicitly set on the allocation rule for the drivers should match the target. So I recommend checking the other dimensions.

As you have already different accounts for amount and headcount, have you tried to copy them both to the same measure and use only account as driver?

Best regards
