The judge overseeing Twitter's lawsuit against Elon Musk granted the billionaire's request to halt the trial until October 28 to allow for the two parties to reach and close a deal.
Twitter opposed Musk's attempt to delay the trial on Thursday. The billionaire made a u-turn on his decision to abandon the $44 billion deal in a letter that was sent on Monday night.
If the two parties don't close the deal by Oct. 28, the judge said a trial will be set for November.
