How to filter Purchase Requisitions based on Release status using Dynamic Selections

I was searching for some time for more information about the dynamic selection option in SAP and how this can be used to enhance the reporting capabilities and found a use case in procurement business processes that illustrates quite well how this functionality can be used in SAP S/4HANA Cloud.

When a specific procurement persona-  buyers- need to identify the purchase requisitions that are already approved in third-party systems so that they can convert these purchase requisitions into purchase orders, buyers can use additional filters as release indicators, release status, or release strategy available when enabling the Dynamic Selection option.

Below is a step-by-step guide on how to enable this option in app “Create Purchase Order-Advanced:.

  1. In order to filter purchase requisitions based on release status in SAP S/4HANA Cloud, buyers need to open the application  ‘ Create Purchase Order -Advanced” and select “Purchase Requisition” from the drop-down list.

2. Buyers will use “Dynamic Selections” and select additional filter criteria as ” Release status”, “Release Strategy” or “Release Indicator” to identify the requisitions approved in third-party systems.

3. Once the filter criteria is in place, buyers can execute the report and receive a list with purchase requisitions based on the criteria indicated above.

4. Buyers can copy the Purchase Requisitions from the report and use them in the Manage Purchase Requisitions app to convert those into Purchase Orders.

As I mentioned at the beginning of the blog, this is only one use case of how to use the Dynamic Selection option in SAP S/4HANA Cloud.

I am looking forward to your comments and suggestions on what other business processes you would recommend for this functionality.
