Latitude
The next-gen BI tool for modern teams
Hello everyone!
We're excited to launch our new product, Latitude, on Product Hunt today. Latitude is a platform where teams collaborate on data projects.
In the past decade, the way companies store, transform, and use their data has improved dramatically. We've seen the rise of the modern data stack and all the incredible things it has enabled.
But this new paradigm has also locked out most decision-makers from participating in the process. While data exploration is inherently a collaborative process, most tools are black boxes for non-technical people.
We've seen the pains this causes very clearly: long feedback loops, data teams inundated with requests, uneven expectations, loss of context… we believe there's a better way.
That's why we're building a next-generation BI tool, with collaboration features built right into the very core of the product. We want decision-makers to be involved in data projects because it will speed up the process, achieve better results, and increase their data literacy.
Some of the key features of Latitude include:
- A collaborative multiplayer canvas for data teams and decision-makers to work in real-time - A unique interface—similar to a 2D notebook—that makes data exploration easy for everyone, whether you know SQL or not - Super quick interactive dashboards and data apps, you've never built a dashboard this fast before! - Support for the most common databases and data warehouses (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redshift, BigQuery, Snowflake, and Athena) with more coming soon
This is only the beginning though, our roadmap is full of ideas to take the data experience to the next level.
If you're looking for a better way to collaborate on data projects, we invite you to try Latitude. We'd love to hear your feedback, so please don't hesitate to reach out.
Thank you for your support!
@abhishek1846 Thank you for your questions Abhishek!
The main difference between Latitude and other BI tools is the block system, which is quite an improvement if you're used to what we call "single-query systems". It's really easy to pick up and the cool thing is that every feature is based on that system, so you don't have to learn separate interfaces to be able to do more things.
For this first iteration, we've focused on providing a very good experience to users with some SQL experience, but in the future, we're planning to add a lot of visual blocks to the gallery to make it easier for non-technical users to explore data.
So, if you're looking for a collaborative data tool where it's easy and FAST to create explorations and dashboards and share them with your team, Latitude could definitely be a good choice!
