With the date set for November 25 for Black Friday this year, you'll still have to wait a little longer to be able to snap up some of the year's best Apple Watch offers, however, history tells us that the lowest prices might show up ahead of Black Friday itself.

How good will the 2022 Black Friday Apple Watch deals be?
It all depends on the model you're after but with seemingly little wiggle room, in terms of generational improvement, older models should quickly drop in price, now that the company's 2022 lineup of wearables is already out there.
As such, even last year's Apple Watch will likely see sizeable reductions from certain retailers; with even larger discounts on older generations, tied to their shorter-term software support and weaker feature sets.

What Black Friday Apple Watch deals do we expect to see in 2022?
This year marks a particularly interesting one for the Apple Watch range. In terms of new entries, this is the first time Apple's brought three products to market at once; with the Apple Watch SE 2, Apple Watch 8 and Apple Watch Ultra making their mark on the company's September 7 launch event.
While the Ultra ushers in a new ceiling for Apple Watch pricing (starting at $799 / £849 / AU$1229), this year's lineup also brings about an interesting shift in the wider portfolio; with Apple finally officially retiring the Apple Watch 3 and in its stead, serving up the new Apple Watch SE 2 at a lower starting price than the original Apple Watch SE came with.
As for how this'll affect Black Friday Apple Watch deals, expect significant savings on the Apple Watch 7, thanks to not one, but two similarly-specced alternatives in the SE 2 and Series 8 making it redundant.
Also, steer clear of Apple Watch 3 offers, even if you can pick one up for a low price, Apple ceased update support this year, meaning functionality and user experience quality will age pretty rapidly, compared to newer Apple Watches still under Apple's influence.

Today's discount applies to the Red, Blue and Green sports band which all arrive before Christmas.
Apple Watch Series 6 (40mm, GPS): $399 $349 at Amazon
Save $50 - 2020's top-tier Apple Watch was the Series 6, which has all the same features as the newer Apple Watch 7 - the S6 processor, blood oxygen monitoring, ECG app, and elevation tracking - but a 20% smaller screen. It's discontinued now, which is why the price is so low. Still, we rated the Series 6 four out of five stars when we tested it, and it remains one of the standout wearables you can buy - at under $350 it's a bargain.
Apple Watch SE (40mm, GPS): $279 $239 at Amazon
Save $40 - This is the smallest version of the Apple Watch SE, and you can grab it for a respectable $40 off, making for a 14% saving. This isn't quite the best Apple Watch SE deal we've ever seen, but it still makes one of Apple's more affordable wearables even more of a bargain.
Apple Watch 5 GPS and Cellular, 44mm: $749 $459 at Amazon
Save $290 - Amazon has the Apple Watch Series 5 with cellular on sale for just $459 - just $10 more than the record-low price. The 44mm smartwatch includes LTE connectivity, which allows you to get internet and phone connectivity on your watch even when your iPhone is far away.
Buy one Apple Watch, get one free: save $330 at AT&T
Save $330 - One of our favorite Apple Watch deals out there right now is the one from AT&T that's giving away an Apple Watch with the purchase of any Apple Watch. You'll have to register at least one new line with AT&T and enable data plans on both devices, but otherwise you're getting a second Apple Watch at no extra cost.
UK: best Black Friday Apple Watch deals from last year
Apple Watch 6 (44mm, GPS): £409 £289 at Amazon
Save £100 - We've seen the Apple Watch 6 GPS go for just £279 this past week Amazon - a very, very low price indeed. The catch, of course, was that this cheapest price ever was available on the red colour only. That's ended now and the next cheapest price is £309 - which is still a decent price all be told since this model is still really powerful and features a great display.
Apple Watch Series 6 (Cellular, 44mm): £509 £399 at Amazon
Save £110 - Amazon's still got a few Apple Watch 6's in stock - and better still it's offering up a very nice discount indeed on the cellular version. If you're going to be cutting the connection to your phone then this one's a great option as the Series 6 is still a very powerful flagship smartwatch indeed. Aside from a bigger screen and a few design tweaks, you're not missing much by opting for this older model versus the Series 7. Note, this price is available on the White and Red colours.
Apple Watch SE (40mm, GPS): £299 £249 at Currys
Save £50 - If you're looking for something a little cheaper, you'll find all Apple Watch SE colours on sale in today's Black Friday Apple Watch deals at Currys. This one's a match for the lowest price we've seen on this cheaper new device, so it's a great option if you're looking for a modern Apple Watch that can tick all the boxes but still come in at a reasonable cost.

1. Apple Watch 8
The best and most balanced Apple Watch

The Apple Watch 8 continues to carry the torch of its predecessors as the best and most well-rounded smartwatch on the market. That said, the Watch 8 is arguably the most insignificant update to the series to date, with only the temperature sensor and crash detection being offered as upgrades over the Watch 7.
The new software is good and offers some nice updates too, but watchOS 9 isn't exclusive to the Watch 8 and is also coming to many older models as well.
The Watch 8 is still the smartwatch to get if you want a good, up-to-date timepiece to go with your iPhone - but it’s definitely not going to outshine the Watch Ultra.
Just like last year, deals on the latest Apple Watches will be harder to come by this Black Friday, but their appearance isn't an impossibility.

The best affordable Apple Watch

The 2022 Apple Watch SE is an important new entry in the series as it not only replaces its predecessor but marks the end of the road for the long-supported Apple Watch 3.
Despite already being the most affordable of the current Apple Watch crop, the Apple Watch SE 2 delivers a complete Apple Watch experience for a great price, and with way longer battery life than Apple promises as a bonus.
The lack of Apple Watch 8 features, like an always-on display and more advanced health tracking are a shame, but for most people, what's left still serves up a superbly well-rounded smartwatch experience.
The Apple Watch SE 2 already offers strong value for money and if it follows the trend of last year's SE, you'll likely see discounts either side of Black Friday in mid-November and early December, so keep your eyes peeled if this is the smartwatch you want to snap up on discount.

3. Apple Watch 7
One destined for good deals

The Apple Watch 7 was the best Apple watch out there until the Apple Watch 8 and Apple Watch Ultra made their debut. It's got a larger screen, charges faster and has a more premium-looking design than the previous Watch 6.
It's not exactly a huge redesign of its predecessor, and comes with lots of the same features and tools that are staples of the Apple Watch range, including an ECG, exercise tracking, access to Apple Fitness Plus (through a separate subscription), Apple Pay and all the fitness tracking modes you've come to expect.
With its successor now out in the wild, expect more prominent discounts on this model compared to last year, across both the late October dip and the Black Friday to Cyber Monday weekend itself.
