Lawyer Websites Showcase

Now, let’s look at examples of well-designed and effective law firm sites. Use these real-world websites for inspiration and ideas that can be adapted for your own site.

Nevada Family Law Group

Built with Squarespace

Nevada Family Law Group’s website uses large photos and a blue color scheme. Blue is a popular choice for legal websites because of color psychology and the fact that blue is associated with trust.

Of course, the photo of a dad and kids on the homepage is appropriate for a family law firm.

The dropdown menu in the header makes it easy for visitors to find information on the firm’s services and attorneys. The blue call-to-action button on the homepage encourages visitors to schedule a consultation, which helps the site generate more leads.

First Gen Law

Built with Squarespace

This colorful website uses a full-screen background image on the homepage, overlaid by transparent colored bars. There are several subtle animation effects that you’ll notice as you scroll down the page.

The secondary pages also feature full-screen header images, so there’s plenty of visual interest as you browse the site. The “about” page includes photos of each team member and links to a bio page with more details.

DKM Law Group

Built with Squarespace

This gray website uses orange as an accent color. The bright call-to-action buttons really stand out due to the contrast.

The navigation menu includes links to the “attorneys” page, “about” page, and a button that links to the “contact” page. While it’s not a large website, there are pages dedicated to each attorney on staff, with a full bio and photo.

John Kail

Built with Squarespace

This dark website looks very professional and makes a strong first impression. Details are provided about the services offered or the practice areas. The “meet the team” page includes photos and brief bios of the lawyers and paralegals.

Although this law practice is relatively small in terms of the number of team members, the site has the feel of a larger firm.

Kaufman Law

Built with Squarespace

Kaufman Law uses a large photo of the founder on its homepage. The graphic design uses a blue and white color scheme, with light blue call-to-action buttons.

Below the fold on the homepage, you’ll find a section titled “how we can help.” Eight different service areas are listed, with links to pages that provide more detailed information.

Ashby Thelen & Lowry

Built with WordPress

The full-screen background video immediately catches your attention when you visit the site. A “watch video” button also opens up a video with more information about the firm and the team’s extensive experience.

This is a robust website that includes a lot of information. The “practice areas” link in the navigation menu opens up a drop-down with links for nearly 20 areas of expertise. The site also includes pages with results from featured cases and client success stories, helping to demonstrate the firms ability to get the job done.

Christophillis and Gallivan

Built with Squarespace

A large photo of the partners is the first thing you’ll notice when visiting this site. The navigation menu includes a drop-down with links to each area of service. There’s also a link to a “testimonials” page that helps to build credibility and trust.

Blue “schedule a consultation” buttons are located in a few places on the homepage. Visitors who click the button are led to a contact page.

The navigation also includes a link to an FAQ page with answers to common questions. Overall, this well-designed site provides all the necessary information and creates a positive first impression.

Regev Law, P.C.

Built with Squarespace

The homepage of Regev Law features several large photos and parallax scrolling effects. Secondary pages also use full-width header images.

Visitors can find detailed information about the firm’s services through the links in the dropdown menu. Although it’s not design-related, one area where this site is lacking is that no team member bios or photos are shown.

Norman & Graves

Built with Squarespace

The homepage features a full-width background photo and a bright orange call-to-action button. Clicking on the “meet our team” button leads to a page with photos and brief bios of team members. The page’s header also features a background video that shows team members at work.

Like some other sites showcased earlier, Norman and Graves use a dropdown menu with links to details of several service areas.

Bryan Schwartz Law

Built with WordPress

The Bryan Schwartz Law website includes many photos and a consistent blue color scheme. The call-to-action button on the homepage encourages visitors to schedule a consultation. The bottom of the homepage features a contact form where visitors can request an initial consultation.

Throughout the site, there’s an effort to make visitors feel comfortable with the firm. The navigation menu includes links to a “testimonials” page and a “results” page. The homepage also lists awards and affiliations.

Feuerstein Kulick

Built with Squarespace

This business law firm also provides real estate and employment law services. The homepage of Feuerstein Kulick features a large urban photo, and a team photo is also visible above the fold.

Below the fold on the homepage, practice areas are listed attractively with an icon for each area. The same practice areas (mostly serving business owners) are also listed in the main navigation menu dropdown.

Shumway Van

Built with Wix

The Shumway Van navigation menu separates service areas for individuals and businesses, with dropdown items under each.

You’ll find many high-quality photos and a nice blue and orange color scheme throughout the site. The firm’s phone number is listed in the header, but the link to the “contact” page is somewhat hidden. You must hover over the “more” link in the menu to see the link to the contact page.

Leibowitz Law Firm PLLC

Built with Squarespace

Leibowitz Law Firm uses a black and white color scheme with dark blue call-to-action buttons. Personally, I’d prefer to see the buttons in a different color that stands out more, but otherwise, the site is well-designed.

This small firm has a single attorney, and the website only includes a few pages. It’s an excellent example of a simple website with a professional look.

Bick Law

Built with WordPress

This is one of the more interesting or unique designs you’ll find among attorney or lawyer websites. The homepage opens with a large photo of an elephant and a purple background. Other colorful photos of animals rotate in through a slideshow.

Below the fold on the homepage, awards and recognitions are displayed, which helps to build trust and credibility.

This site includes a lot of information. Several of the top-level links in the navigation menu open up to dropdowns with additional links.

Kanen Law Firm

Built with Squarespace

The homepage of Kanen Law Firm uses a full-width slider with a blue overlay on photos. Orange is an accent color throughout the site, including the CTA button in the header.

The firm’s specialty areas are listed in a dropdown navigation menu and displayed on the homepage, with images for each area.

Hodgson Russ Attorneys

Built with WordPress

Canadian firm Hodgson Russ uses a full-width slider on the homepage. Photos have a blue overlay and a maple leaf shape.

This is a large website that includes news in a blog-style display. The site also includes a dedicated page for each attorney, with more than 50 legal professionals listed.

The contact page lets visitors get in touch and lists all of the company’s office locations.

ZMO Law PLLC

Built with Squarespace

The homepage of ZMO Law PLLC features a full-screen photo of the team of attorneys. The “practice areas” page includes a complete list of the firm’s areas of expertise, with a dedicated page for each specialty.

The site includes an active law blog and an “in the news” section highlighting publicity that features the firm. Those looking for a criminal defense lawyer will find plenty of info on this site.

Vela Wood

Built with WordPress

Vela Wood’s website has a high-end feel with a full-screen black and white background video. The navigation menu is simple and links to all the pages you’d expect to find on a law firm’s website.

The large firm has many team members on the “attorneys” page. Each attorney has a dedicated bio page. Visitors can search by the attorney’s name or browse by specialty.

Highbridge

Built with WordPress

Highbridge’s design features a nice blue background. All the links in the header navigation menu lead to areas lower on the homepage. However, it’s not a one-page website. The homepage links to attorney bio pages that provide additional details.

This site looks great, but it lacks a clear call to action. An email address is provided in the site’s footer, but the firm could benefit from a more assertive approach to lead generation.

Dadgostar Law

Built with Squarespace

The homepage of Dadgostar Law is relatively simple. There’s a nice, big background photo above the fold. Lower on the page, you’ll find a photo of the two attorneys and brief info about the firm.

Practice areas are listed in a dropdown menu, with a dedicated page for each area of specialty. The site’s footer includes some awards and recognition, which help to provide social proof.

Bend Law Group

Built with WordPress

Bend Law Group’s homepage includes a slider that features a combination of full-screen photos and embedded videos. Unlike many other sites showcased here, their “services” page lists the focus areas, but there are no pages with additional information on each service.

The navigation menu includes a “clients” link. The page showcases and lists several current or past clients.

Law Offices of William Kiang

Built with Strikingly

The immigration law offices of William Kiang uses a simple one-page website. The links in the header, aside from the “my case” link), lead to specific sections on the homepage. The “my case” link leads to a government website where clients can find details on their cases.

This site is relatively simple, but it includes all the necessary data and a call-to-action for a free consultation.

Moran Law

Built with Squarespace

Moran Law’s website features a blue color scheme with green accents. A green call-to-action button on the homepage encourages visitors to get a free consultation. Lower on the homepage, visitors will see a contact form they can fill out to request a consultation.

The site’s primary navigation menu includes a dropdown for the challenges clients may be facing, as well as the cities that are within their service area. The pages dedicated to each city should help with local search engine optimization to increase organic search traffic.

Kaufman Lieb Lebowitz & Frick

Built with Squarespace

This firm’s homepage features a full-screen photo of the four attorneys. The areas of expertise are broken down in the navigation menu into commercial, civil rights (civil litigation), and appeals & advising.

The site includes news items published in blog format.

Aulich

Built with WordPress

Aulich’s homepage features a clean, minimalist layout and design style. If you hover over the links in the navigation, a mega menu with extensive options opens up.

There’s a “contact” link in the navigation menu, but the site lacks calls-to-action that are used on many other sites showcased here.

How to Create an Effective Law Firm Website

Lawyer and law firm website design doesn’t need to be complicated. In fact, simple sites that are easy to use will be the most effective. Here are a few things to keep in mind when creating the site.

List the Areas of Expertise

There are many different types of law, and every firm provides different services. Prospective clients want to hire an attorney with expertise in a particular area, so it’s essential to clearly list the different services or areas of expertise.

Law firm sites can simply list the areas of expertise or provide content focused on each area. As you saw from the sites showcased above, many have a page dedicated to each specialty.

Make a Personal Connection

One of the most effective ways to generate more leads from the website is to allow visitors to feel a personal connection with the lawyers or partners. You can include team and individual photos, write bios, and incorporate videos when possible to build trust with clients.

Most clients want to be careful in choosing the right professional for their legal matters. Making a personal connection helps them to feel more comfortable.

Include a Call to Action

If you want to generate leads from your site, you should include a strong call-to-action. Many of the sites showcased in this article include multiple CTAs on the site’s homepage.

Instead of simply including a contact link in the navigation menu, consider adding a button that nudges visitors to book a consultation. Make it as easy as possible for visitors to reach out.

Provide Social Proof

There are a lot of law firms out there, and some are better than others. Show your capabilities and build trust through social proof. This can include showcasing client testimonials, linking to five-star reviews, providing details of successful cases, and displaying badges or banners for awards and recognition.

Final Thoughts on Lawyer Websites

The website is a critical marketing tool for any law firm. Most potential clients will research attorneys and firms online before moving forward, so your online presence must represent you as well as possible. The lawyer websites showcased in this article should provide plenty of inspiration to help create your own site.
