Work with voice, anywhere, no typing, no meetingsThank you for hunting us @kevin 🙌

Hi Product Hunt! Nico here, Co-Founder of VoiceLine.

I’m beyond excited to share VoiceLine for Chrome with the PH community today after months of incredibly hard work from each one of our small but mighty team 🫶. I am also still thrilled by the vast amount of feedback we got from the 200+ companies that supported us in our closed beta. 🙏

We started building VoiceLine early in the pandemic based on the profound believe that the way we communicate at work needs an upgrade. I personally had the chance to work with a multitude of companies, industries and teams during my time in management consulting. While projects changed, the amount of time and flexibility we lost in meetings or written communication stayed the same, pushing quality work to the ‘premium hours’ at night, early mornings and weekends that are better spent doing other things.

A core reason for this is, that at work, we still rely heavily on synchronous or text-based modes of interaction as they are often the only option to exchange information. This ends up wasting insane amounts of time for the 1bn knowledge workers around the globe every day.

Alternatives are needed that are the simpler option to setting up a meeting, picking up the phone or writing an email/instant message. People are lazy after all (in a good way)! ✌️

Voice messages offer a solution by being fast, personal and async. But there are a few shortcomings to voice messages, including:

- Audio files are a black box if you are not listening to them - Voice messages tend to be too long and unstructured - Audio is not searchable and can’t be referenced - Voice messages are locked in silos of messenger apps

With VoiceLine, we are applying AI and UX in two main areas to crack the case of voice in business. That means:

1. You can finally send receiver friendly voice messages: our messages combine voice and text so the receiver is not forced to listen 2. We built it as a layer, not a silo: You can use VoiceLine anywhere you already work by using our Chrome extension. VoiceLine works with HubSpot, GSuite, MS Office, Jira, Trello, Notion, Slack, Teams, Figma and really any application you can open in Chrome.

To make sure you have full control of all your async notifications in one place, we built the VoiceLine Hub to give you an instant overview of every VoiceLine you’ve sent or received.

There are many ways you can use VoiceLine, whether it’s giving more meaningful input when you’re working remotely, accelerating documentation in your CRM, quickly dropping debriefs, capturing ideas and tasks on the go, or replacing meetings entirely.

We’ll keep adding new features and use cases in the future, but for now, we would love to get your feedback.

THANK YOU 🖖
