- So Ferrari has a new four door vehicle. Very reasonably priced, I'm sure.
PRAS SUBRAMANIAN: Yeah, very reasonably priced. You know, who cares about the price of gas, right? So, you know, Ferrari here with their first SUV, but don't call it an SUV. They're calling it a Four-door, four-seater, the Purosangue. You know, a very interesting sloping design, fastback design here. Ferrari says it has a V12 with 715 horsepower. Immense power there. Also with these special doors that open-- coach-style door-- in the back. They open up reverse style, the way you would think that a Rolls-Royce has those types of coach-type doors.
So anyway, a lot going on here. It's a big release for Ferrari. First SUV, but they had to do this because they're kind of far behind their competitors in Lamborghini, and also Rolls-Royce and Bentley all have SUVs right now. And also their electrification plans. So they're a little bit behind their. They've said their first EV will be revealed in 2025. This car might actually become a hybrid. They promise around 60% of cars will be hybrids or battery electrics by 2026, so you're potentially seeing the future for the brand here-- SUVs and potentially hybrids, too.

Ferrari woos super rich with $400,000, petrol-fuelled SUV
Ferrari unveiled on Tuesday its first SUV, the 390,000 euro ($397,000), 12-cylinder Purosangue, aimed at super-rich drivers still not ready to go all-electric. While late to the SUV market, the Italian brand famed for its prancing horse logo is sure the luxury sports car-style of the Purosangue - or Thoroughbred - will make the model stand out. "Since we announced it was a V12 (in May), the interest for the car exploded," Chief Marketing and Commercial Officer Enrico Galliera told reporters at Ferrari headquarters in Maranello, adding the company had been inundated with pre-orders from customers who have not even seen it.
