After nearly three years of development, Diesel 2.0.0 is finally out! This Rust framework is both an ORM and a query builder which focuses on compile time safety, performance, and productivity.
The team behind Diesel added numerous new features with highlights being added support for GROUP BY clauses for select queries, table aliasing, defining select clauses via a corresponding type, and UNION/INTERSECT/EXCEPT queries.
With this stable release, Diesel remains the standard tool for interacting with databases in Rust. You can check the complete list of changes on Diesel’s official site.
