据YouTuber j0nathan以及彭博社Jason Schreier的证实，《刺客信条》新作《刺客信条：幻影》将在明年春季发售，是一款规模较小的游戏，专注于潜行要素，和系列早期作品相似。
游戏背景设定在公元870-860年的巴格达，主角为《刺客信条：英灵殿》的Basim，玩家可以探索多个城市，最初该作是作为一款拓展包准备发行，后在去年转变为一款游戏单独发行。彭博社表示该作将于2023年春季发行。
此外，《刺客信条：幻影》预计会在《刺客信条：无限》之前发布，而《刺客信条：重制版》也在开发中，会作为《刺客信条：幻影》季票发行。
