General New Joying Android 10 UIS7862 Octacore 1.8GHz (4GB RAM, 64GB flash)

Getting a 4PDA account was very hard, but the root method was easy. Anyway, thanks to that, I was finally able to change the dpi.

I remembered, So was Owince K6 (9853i) also a magisk method.

So how did you root it?

Has anyone been able to improve the performance of the mic? Nobody can ever hear me unless I take the mic and place it 2 inches from my mouth.

Which mic? the internal or an external?
I assume you mention an external otherwise you could not take it.
Note that connecting an external mic requires your to push it really hard in the connection untill your hear a very audible "clic"

What have you already tried?
Just different mic locations. I have a JY-HQS01N4G-2. No other options for it that I see.

It's a Joying JY-HQS01N4G-2, so there is no internal. The mic works, so I am sure the plug is seated all the way. It's just that everyone I call says I "sound terrible" or they can barely hear me. I've tried the mic in various spots but the only thing that seems to work is to pull the wire out till it's in front of my mouth.

I would, if not already done, first install the latest firmware for your device:

If it is not better after that, I can only advise you to use another microphone. I have tried several, I can personally recommend the Sony XA-MC10.

So how did you root it?

I've had this unit since Jan 2021 and I've not bothered to root it until I recently needed to do something that needed root.

If you go on 4pda and find the thread called "Unisoc head units on the UIS7862 (UMS512) / SC9863a (UIS8581A) processor - FYT platform" and search for a post from user "gordgelin" with the attachment "Universal_ROOT_7862_9863_8141_9853_new (1).zip".

Extract that file to a USB, put the USB into the unit (while it's on), wait for the green text letting you know you can remove the USB, remove the USB and wait for it to reboot. Once booted, install Magisk (included in the zip)
