TCL P8 Android TV Several issues with MKV to DLNA playback. Anyone have the same problems? Is there a solution please.

Hello, I have some problems with the media center of my TCL P8 Androidtv after the major update to Android 11 V715. Video playback stops by itself after a few minutes and jumps to a new VIDEO. I have to clarify that this only happens with MKV videos in DLNA (no fast forward-reverse. Sudden stop of the video and jump to the next one. Lost function of resuming the video from the last time seen and stopped. General delay of a few seconds to open files in DLNA and even playback delays)

I tried to just update the media player and indeed I went to the version 6.00.70 but Unfortunately it didn't work and even worse I lost the appearance of the Dolby Audio logo it no longer appears 🙄 before the Media Center update the playback of MKV HD necessarily made the Dolby Audi logo appear but no longer now 😭

Now I'm going to try to do a new 'clean' update from an IMG file downloaded from the TCL Update database and then we'll see

This file is only for the platform V8-R851T02 and is to upgrade to version V715 Android 11

For anyone having problems updating here is the correct method to follow:
If you are having general problems with your TCL TV, try the following:

1. check if you are running the latest firmware version, if not update it with an OTA file

2. fully power off your tv (unplugging the power cable) and plug it back in again

3. If nothing helps, try a reset from a hidden TV menu (reset All and Reset shop will not wipe TV. Apps will be untouched, initial setting required like passwords, WiFi)

4. last thing to try is to reinstall your tv fully with the latest IMG file (will wipe your data, picture and sound settings will stay)

*HOW TO INSTALL*

Preparation:

- USB drive has to be FAT32
- it should contain nothing else than the firmware
- prefer using the USB 2.0 slot on your tv
- prefer using a USB 2.0 drive
- if it fails re-download the file again
- if it still fails try another usb drive
- Use a windows pc, no macos as macos unzips it wrong automatically

*OTA*
1. Download zip
2. copy zip to USB Drive (FAT32)
3. plug it in TV (preferably USB 2.0)
4. in the settings -> update -> choose local update

*IMG* (this will wipe your android data)
1. Download zip
2. unpack zip (sometimes it contains one IMG file, sometimes some files in it) & copy to USB Drive (FAT32)
3. plug it in the tv
4. shut down the tv
5. then press & hold the power button on the tv (not remote) for 5 seconds until the LED is flashing and wait for it to be installed.
The power button is on EVERY TV and can be found most of the time behind the status LED in the middle of the TV
