Meta 最近宣布在欧洲进一步推出其元宇宙平台 Horizon Worlds，Meta 还借此机会展示了 Horizon Worlds 中扎克伯格虚拟化身在微型埃菲尔铁塔前的自拍照。
随后，这张照片遭到了一系列嘲讽。在线杂志 Kotaku 称扎克伯格的虚拟化身是“任天堂 Mii 的无腿山寨版，衬衫上有一些非常奇怪的纽扣。”Techcrunch 写道：“马克·扎克伯格宣布在欧洲进一步推出其元宇宙平台 Horizon Worlds，但这张照片并不吸引人。”
福布斯的一位撰稿人从根本上质疑扎克伯格的审美理解。根据这张图片，PCGamer 将 Horizon Worlds 称为第二人生的糟糕版本。这张照片目前也是 Twitter 上的吐槽对象，例如它被称为 N64 复古游戏。
当然，Horizon Worlds 看起来像它的样子是有技术原因的。受限于设备性能，《Horizon Worlds》画面只能以卡通状态呈现。
现在，Meta 在 Horizon Worlds 上做了很多工作，至少考虑到当前的技术状态，它并没有在平台上下大赌注，而是在未来迭代中可能出现的东西上。
