WhatsApp Will Allow Us To Get Back Deleted Messages

That’s a common thing to send messages to the wrong person. Moreover, we can even send wrong messages to the right persons. Most mainstream messengers have a feature allowing us to remove those messages. But what if we think it’s been sent to the wrong person, delete it, and understand that it was whom we were sending it? It seems WhatsApp is working on a feature that will bring back the deleted message.

WhatsApp has not announced anything yet, but guys at WABetaInfo have found a feature that can undo the deleted message in the WhatsApp beta for Android version 2.22.18.13. WhatsApp is currently testing it.

Undo Deleted Messages On WhatsApp

We guess there is no need to explain how it works. Once you mistakenly delete a message, there is an Undo button to get the removed message back. Here we should point out that the feature is for the “Delete for me” option and not for the “Delete for everyone” option. Also, the Undo option will be there only for a few seconds. We guess this is enough to realize whether you need to get it back.

As said, this is available in beta only. So we have no clue whether it will come to all users or WhatsApp will decide to cancel it. Also, we have no idea whether this feature that brings back deleted messages will be available for the “Delete for everyone” option or not.

Apart from this, we know that WhatsApp is thinking about quick reactions to status updates. Thus, once you want to react to any of your contacts’ statuses, you will be able to pick an emoji. This is the same as what we do for Instagram Stories. Moreover, it seems we will be able to record a voice note as a status update instead of the usual text or image.
