[ROM][G920/5-F-I-S-K-L-T-W8][10.0] UNOFFICIAL LineageOS 17.1

For S6 Canada/T-Mobile (SM-G920T/W8) (zerofltecan/zerofltespr/zerofltetmo):
https://androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=333385

This is exactly what I had been looking for, for a long time. It works like a charm. No bugs yet to experience and no performance issues.
Thanks!

Thank you @Borstelchen !!

I just installed it yesterday and had some troubles with the first boot (in the end the third reboot was successfull; dont know why) and the battery ..it should have been above 40% but it showed less than 15%. However after long time to full loading (dont know if my usb cable/plug was 100% appropriate) the battery seems accurate now.

But i am still wondering why "SELinux" is disabled in the Trust menu (sub menu of Privacy settings) - is that something you have configuration access to? or that can be fixed during runtime?

Also, since i am kind of noob: How do i apply upcoming patches without setting up my phone from scratch again? just make some kind of backup, install new patch and load backup? or am i able to apply patches within the previous build? (if i know how that works, i will use the phone more intensive and can give more feedback 😇)

have a nice day! 🌈

I don't have canada but I have the Australian G920i that I'm trying to do a build for.
(crDroid, A12) - I'm not doing well. haha

But I'd be happy to test builds for you

Thanks for your feedback!

SELinux can only be enabled in pre-build sources.
Unfortunately I have no experience with the SELinux configuration.
I need help with that!
My sources are available here:

To apply patches please use the recovery system.
Download the new build to your device and then reboot into the recovery system.
You can then install the new image there.
Then reboot the device into the system.
And you're done!

Have a lot of fun!

When are we getting A 11 are A 12 from you

Not as long as Android 10 / LineageOS 17.1 is officially supported and provided with monthly patches.

You can already get Android 11 / LineageOS 18.1 builds here:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/rom-g920-5-f-i-s-k-l-11-0-unofficial-lineageos-18-1.4266447/

And Android 12 / LineageOS 19.1 will probably not be available for the Galaxy S6 devices.
These devices use a 3.10.x Linux kernel which does not support basic functionality in Android 12 / LineageOS 19.1.
Look here in the section "Let's talk about legacy devices...":

Then how is it possible that a device like the Galaxy S3 Run Android 12 but not the S6/S6 Edge????

The Galaxy S3 is 3 years older than the S6/S6 Edge but it still has Android 12 ROM'S being developed for it.....

older kernels, like the one on the s6, do not support ebpf (required), which replaced iptables in lineage 19. not aware of a backport as of yet.

the reason those old devices work is that someone went through the effort of applying some patches to lineageos to reimplement iptables, plus other fixes, to get it to boot. no one has done that for the s6, at least successfully, yet.

that is as i understand it.
