Blockchain-based Agri-Tech Startup, TrusteeFarm, Among 19 African Startups Selected for the AfriTech XYZ Accelerator

19 startups from across the African continent have been selected to take part in the AfriTech XYZ virtual accelerator program.

One of the African startups to be selected is TrusteeFarm, a farm-to-table food traceability ecosystem on blockchain, detailing all the processes involved on farms until it reaches the table, making food supply information transparent.

Out of the hundreds of applications received, only 19 startups qualified with TrusteeFarm, a blockchain-based startup from Ghana, making the cut.

The 19 startups that got selected include:

  • Andele – Lending startup (Kenya)
  • Borla Daakye – Waste management app (Ghana)
  • Ecoplastile – Waste management startup (Uganda)
  • Esusu – P2P savings startup (Nigeria)
  • Every Farmer – Agri-tech platform (Nigeria)
  • Growd Global – Ed-tech Startup (Kenya)
  • Hud Hud – Ride-sharing solution (Kenya)
  • Insure Pay – Insurtech startup (Zambia)
  • Irrisol – Agri-tech platform (Uganda)
  • Just Float – Rental marketplace (South Africa)
  • MaiFarmLand – Agri-tech platform (Nigeria)
  • Novel – Accounting software (Nigeria)
  • Pay Hippo – Lending platform (Nigeria)
  • PeersView – Student social network (Nigeria)
  • Qataloog – Ed-tech startup (Nigeria)
  • Salubata – Shoe-sizing app (Nigeria)
  • Swiftly – Freight forwarding platform (Ghana)
  • TrusteeFarm – Agri-tech startup (Ghana)
  • Xpendly – Financial management service (Ghana)

The above African startups will get to benefit from training in go-to-market strategies, networking, mentoring, and meet the UK investment community.
