Intel’s mini-PCs are very popular due to their outstanding performance. Recently, the new Intel NUC 12 Extreme system, codenamed “Serpent Canyon,” was leaked. What’s more interesting, this system sports 12th Gen Alder Lake mobility CPUs and Arc mobility GPUs such as the Arc A770M, Arc A750M, and the Arc A550M. From the spotted listing, we can learn that the 12th Gen NUC series of systems will utilize the dGPU Arc Alchemist graphics series.

You can get acquainted with the previous generation here.

Among them, we can find the new NUC X15 series with the codename of “Alder County”. The latter comes with a Core i7-12700H CPU. Plus, customers can choose any from the Arc A730M or A550M graphics. This will be the first NUC series to come with A-series GPUs. As you should know, there were some delays. And only now, vendors have started listing Arc-based PCs. This means, with a strong possibility, we will be able to get our hands on these NUCs later in Q4 2022.

Why Are The New Intel NUC Sporting Intel Core CPUs So Demanded?

We talk about these Intel Core NUC lineup with enthusiasm because they will be the first to adopt an all-Intel design, removing the need for NVIDIA and AMD discrete GPUs entirely. Thus, hardware completely comes from Intel.

Particularly, the Intel NUC 12 Extreme “Serpent Canyon” system will boast of an Intel Core i7-12700H CPU and up to an Intel Arc A770M mobile graphics card. The latter will have a memory capacity of 16 GB. At the same time, these systems will have a small form factor of 2.5 liters. The system will come in barebone DIY and configured setups (such as DDR5 + SSD).

If these leaks are accurate, the new Intel NUC 12 Serpent Canyon computer system’s prices will vary from $1042 to $1471. There will be only four options. However, we can’t insist that these are the final prices of the upcoming mini-PCs. We guess they will appear on the shelves in weeks.
