The full unveiling will take place on August 10
Samsung’s new foldable devices are just around the corner, as the South Koreans are planning to unveil the new lineup on August 10.
And just as expected, more and more information is now becoming available through unofficial channels, with serial leakster Evan Blass and 91mobiles now providing us with a closer look at the Z Fold 4 and the Z Flip 4 thanks to a set of official renders.
The new models look exactly as you’d expect them to look, though I’m particularly impressed by the beige version of the Z Fold 4.
More specifically, Samsung will launch the Z Flip 4 in black, gold, blue, and purple, while the Z Fold 4 will be available in black, beige, and gray.
Other than that, it’s pretty clear that the South Koreans have focused mostly on what’s under the hood. The display will most likely come with massive improvements, especially because Samsung wants to address the crease happening on the middle of the screen.
The photos that got leaked this week show the devices with a black wallpaper, but you should still expect the punch-hole camera to be there. In other words, the new models wouldn’t be much different from a design perspective from their previous siblings, though there’s a chance that Samsung is still planning a few surprises as well.
The company will probably focus a lot on the camera this year, so expect lots of announcements in this regard.
All the information we need will eventually surface on August 10 when Samsung will officially take the wraps off the new devices. In addition to the new foldables, the company will also announce the new-generation Galaxy Watch lineup, which this year will include a Pro model – most likely specifically built to compete against the upcoming more rugged Apple Watch version due in September.
