戴尔宣布两款Mobile Connect应用停止服务

戴尔宣布两款Mobile Connect应用停止服务|dell|iphone|英特尔|应用程序|微软_网易订阅
如果你使用 Dell Mobile Connect 或者 Alienware Mobile Connect，用于将 iPhone 和 Android 手机连接到戴尔设备，那么这里有条坏消息。根据今天公布的官方支持文档，这两款应用程序在美国地区将于今年 11 月 30 日移除下载链接，2023 年 1 月 31 日停止支持。
这款主流的解决方案目前已经预装到支持蓝牙的 Inspiron, Vostro, G-Series，Alienware，以及运行 Windows 10 的消费级 XPS 设备上。该应用需要在 Windows 10/11 设备上才能正常使用。
有别于微软的 Phone Link，这两款应用程序主要通过蓝牙和 WiFi 实现，因此用户可以将 iPhone 也连接到戴尔系统中，在 PC 上读取短信、照片甚至分享你的 iPhone 屏幕。
戴尔目前推荐用户卸载 DELL Mobile Connect 或者 Alienware Mobile Connect，以释放更多的存储空间。在美国停止支持的时间为 2023 年 1 月 31 日，而部分国家和地区会提前到今年 11 月 30 日。这两款应用将不会再预装到新款 XPS 13 Plus 上了。
对于本次停止支持，戴尔官方并未提供解释原因。不过外界猜测其中一个主要的原因是在戴尔设备上的授权到期了。Dell Mobile Connect 是由 Screenonvate 创建的，英特尔在 2021 年以 1.5 亿的美元收购了这家公司，而近期这款应用开始在英特尔 Evo 设备上运行。
