今年4月初，EPIC终于发布了宣传了两年的虚幻引擎5（Unreal Engine 5），同时还附带了一个免费游戏demo《黑客帝国觉醒：虚幻引擎5体验》，之前是免费下载，不过7月9日后就要下架了，想要白嫖的抓紧。
EPIC官方表示， 《黑客帝国觉醒：虚幻引擎5体验》将在7月9日后下架，不过玩家已经领取的游戏不会消失，还可以继续在游戏库中体验。
虚幻5最主要的内容涵盖三大特性，一是TSR超采样技术，二是Lumen光照技术、Nanite几何技术和VSM阴影技术，三是Mass AI人工智能和深度学习的引入。
《黑客帝国觉醒：虚幻引擎5体验》则是目前最能展示该引擎的游戏，在PC及Xbox、PS平台都是免费下载的。
