在欧洲中央银行政策会议的小组讨论中，美联储主席 Jerome Powell 承认，美国经济所谓的“软着陆”是他无法保证的。“我们有办法在保持强劲劳动力市场的同时，实现通胀率回到 2% 的目标。我们相信我们能做到，但不能保证我们能做到。”Powell 表示，“推动经济发展的力量非常不同。我们不知道的是，我们是否会回到（新冠爆发）以前的样子，或有点像我们以前的样子。”
