一些联合国译员拒绝远程口译
联合国日内瓦办事处官方杂志《今日联合国》（UN Today）报道称，一些联合国口译员因音质原因开始对远程口译持拒绝态度。
根据日内瓦办事处口译员Amy Brady和Martin Pickles的说法，远程同声传译（RSI）平台和外围设备（如麦克风、耳机、耳塞、头戴式耳机）常常不能为口译员提供足够好的音质。他们表示，音质实际上未达到相关的ISO标准，并可能会损伤译员听力。
“在远程同传两年后，我们发现，通过平台从远程参与者那边接收到的音质根本达不到我们需要的标准，它既无法保证我们高质量完成工作，也无法保护我们的听力，”两人解释道。
据同篇报道，去年联合国日内瓦办事处约60%的口译员报告称，在通过RSI平台口译后，他们出现了各种症状——耳鸣、听觉过敏、耳痛、眩晕和头晕。
