Thank you for your response. This could solve my problem, but I'm not sure whether this issue is really ROM related. Since I didn't update, this issue might be related to something else. And so far, I like this ROM, hadn't any other problem for months.
I posted here since I wanted to know whether there are other people facing this issue.

This could also be a non-ROM related issue, like an app that is acquiring the CPU wake lock.
If it is a ROM-related, probably a reboot should fix it, I've seen this before in the official MIUI ROM.

If it is app-related, try to uninstall some of the newly installed app one by one!

Another bug report: built-in Local Terminal is veru bugged and broken, need to use 3rd party terminal emulator.

I am trying to download and install this ROM using the side load command as the TWRP does not allow me to show any folder, I have to change file system to ex4 or ex2 to see the internal storage. Even though - if I connect the USB cable- the computer wont show any folder inside the Internal storage.
Is there a way I could switch to a better recovery, is there something better than TWRP?

How is the battery backup on this rom? I am getting pretty bad battery life on this rom but some other guy on the same rom is getting amazing results.

I flashed last build 8.7 and i notices an issue.
I'm unable to set a setting widget From launcher, like battery shortcut.
When i try, i click on setting widget and i have blank screen.

hey guys, i am pretty new to the rmn10pro. atm i am trying to figure out how to get netflix running. watched several tutorials, but never got it running. did someone get it working yet or isn´t it possible yet or am i just dumb?

edit: or is there something special i need to do before flashing? just wiped everything including formatting data.
edit2: just did a clean flash and tried netflix, worked. but is it possible to get it running with magisk?
edit3: i dunno why, but now it works even after installing magisk
edit4: netflix still works, thought it might be related to safety net, it fails but netflix still works

so no issues here as it seems

Tried asking in the telegram group but no one answered. For me there's no need to change, the stock kernel (sparrow) performs perfectly fine. Battery life is great and performance is buttery smooth...probably the smoothest rom I've used. I don't know how he managed to have it so smooth while keeping the battery life as good if not better than stock MIUI.

This is currently my favorite rom so far. Only issue is Google assistant voice activation doesn't work. I asked if you can flash flamegapps over the gapps build + the Google assistant addon but no one answered me. I'm sure it will work but I don't use it enough to care. Stock launcher is also pretty basic but you can apparently flash flamegapps + pixel launcher addon.

Hi, and thanks for the great work on this ROM. My 5 years old Lenovo P2 was working great since a long time through AEX (A9) before its internal memory died. Great phone deserved great ROM. Same with Note 10 Pro. So I'm very glad that this OFFICIAL AEX is available to my new phone.

But, even if the ROM is perfect to me, I'm annoyed by the TWRP backup failure when I include the "super" partition in the backup. Does anyone else encounter the same issue with TWRP backup? Or even better, did someone find any solution to this?

Good ROM. Issue is phone is getting hot while using it for 5 to 10 min. You cant even take a call longer than 10 min. Too hot.

Any suggestion? Kernel Change, Settings, anything...

I've encountered the issue too. The evidence for the guilty app has been found on my phone with battery consumption analysis. Showing the whole device apps with Battery overview's top right menu, I could find that Google Framework Service was consuming half of my battery during the night (with plane mode ON!) which also means that its charge on CPU was heavy. Updating FlameGapps seems to make this issue less impacting, I feel it less hot, but I don't know yet precisely how much as I'm just testing since 24h. Maybe you should test too.

Then I've tested BiTGapps on AospExtended as BiTGapps dev is claiming that this GApps package allows to enable GApps battery optimization. But a fake error tells me that it's impossible to install it on ROMs that include GApps, while AEX is a pure Vanilla ROM 🤔

Tested again for one week with AEX + latest OpenGApps Pico + GMS Doze module and... GMS Doze module is working fine : I can enable battery optimization on Google Play Services and other Google apps, could have been great! But this f*****g Google Play Services app continues to crazily eat my battery energy once again... 106% of use now for example. For example, my phone was charged at 50% yesterday night before going to sleep, I've enabled the airplane mode and stopped location services, and at wake up 7 hours later it was shut down out of battery. I'm so tired of this never ending issue, the ROM is great but seems unusable this way 🤔

Dunno yet what I have to do nor what I will do... This GMS Doze module visibly can't resolve this on AEX Rom, and I don't know what's the root cause in this phone model/ROM/GApps package combination. Any idea will be welcome.

Glad I'm not the only one having crazy battery drain on this ROM. Google Play Services as well as Google Services Framework are also eating all of my battery. This an awesome ROM, despite this HUGE problem.

Unfortunately, I can't keep using this build. This is unusable.

Anyone else had this problem and found a work around, any luck?

First 3 weeks the battery was AWESOME!!! but 2-3 days ago some very strange battery drain started ... very very strandje, the problem seems to be the Google Play Services and the Settings app ... very very strange

    -Make sure that you have backed up your data and are familiar with your device
-Also make sure that you have unlocked your bootloader
-Have a custom recovery installed on your device or use the AEX Recovery provided (Orange fox, TWRP or any other recovery like the PE recovery will work. Don't use LOS recovery)
- Boot into the recovery mode
- Clean up your data by format data/factory reset option in the recovery (Can skip this step if coming from previous version of same ROM)
- Reboot to recovery
- Flash the ROM.zip (+Gapps if necessary) via the Recovery UI itself
- Wipe dalvik/cache
- Reboot your device
    First boot will take a few minutes! Have patience
    Clean Flash is always recommended!

A clean flash is always recommended. Bug reports are not appreciated if not clean flashed.

    I'm testing the latest 8.6 version 2 days already.
    No problems or any bugs discovered!
    The battery life is GOOD!
    But the MOST IMPORTANT for me is the custom ANX Camera with this new config from MIUI 12.5.8!

    2 days ago I flashed the latest 8.6 version of the AOSPExtended ROM because in the Change log I red this two lines:
    - Add miui camera port (A Lighter verison of ANXcam)
    - Update s5kgw3 camera configs from MIUI v12.5.8.0 RKFINXM

    Finally, the ANX Camera receives and uses the special configuration made for our Phone Camera!!!

    This custom ANX version + the s5kgw3 camera configs from MIUI v12.5.8.0 are making this Camera with the best quality and sharp details - compared to other ANX Camera versions or even MIUI stock camera!

    For the last few weeks I'm testing and comparing the best quality GCam mods, looking for the best one.
    I'm comparing them with the MIUI Camera and when using AOSP based ROM with the ANX Camera.

    I have made probably 1 000 or more photos looking for the best camera for our phone.

    The best quality GCam for our phone is the BSG PV4 GCam MOD & GCam conf & GCam Lib

    After this 2 days of tests I can say that the ANX Camera in the latest AOSPExtended ROM v8.6 have equal or even better details than the stock MIUI camera!!!

    It's detail level is so good that it is close to the results from the best GCam mod for our phone: BSG mod PV4 version 8.1 with a custom Lib. You can get them from my signature or from the link here: GCam MOD & GCam conf & GCam Lib

    As I can see the s5kgw3 camera configs from MIUI v12.5.8.0 have been implemented in some other AOSP ROMs, but I haven't tested them.

    I'm petty happy with AOSPExtended and I'm NO MORE stuck in the debloated MIUI Rom which I used because the stock Camera quality!

    Most people prefer Vanilla, since gapps build is heavy and seems bloated (atleast for me).
    You can always flash bigger gapps package if u want.
