过去一段时间不断有消息指，基于Ada Lovelace架构GPU的GeForce RTX 40系列显卡有相当高的功耗，随着16Pin的PCIe 5.0供电接口引入，旗舰级的产品最高将达到800W或以上。
近日有网友透露，桌面平台上，搭载AD102、AD103、AD104和AD106的显卡，功耗上限分别为800W、450W、400W和260W，这意味着搭载AD102的顶级显卡需要配置两个PCIe 5.0供电接口。移动平台方面，搭载AD103、AD104和AD106显卡的功耗上限分别为175W、175W和140W。
当然，实际产品正常来说功耗应该会低一些。即便如此，在不考虑功耗限制的情况下，GeForce RTX 40系列显卡的功耗高于GeForce RTX 30系列似乎也没什么疑问，基本上都提高了100W左右。曾有报道称，英伟达将为所有GeForce RTX 40系列显卡配备PCIe 5.0供电接口，单接口可提供600W的供电。
