Best Smartphones for Under $500
1. Vivo iQOO Neo 6
Let’s kick off the list with a bang – the Vivo iQOO Neo 6. The recently launched handset does indeed manage to bring the extremely powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen1 chipset for under $500 for the first time.
The chipset fuels a large 6.62-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate and a 360Hz touch sampling rate.
As for photos, the smartphone packs a 64MP resolution main camera; along with a 12MP ultra wide-angle lens and 2MP B&W sensor. At the front there’s a 16MP selfie snapper.
Finally, the Vivo iQOO Neo 6 packs a 4700mAh battery with support for 80W fast charging.
2. POCO F4 GT
Just like the iQOO Neo 6 above, the POCO F4 GT is also powered by the flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen1 chipset and has a price tag under $500.
The smartphone then features a 6.67-inch FHD+ AMOLED panel sporting a refresh rate of 120Hz and a touch sampling rate of 480Hz.
In the camera department, the POCO F4 GT comes with a total of three cameras including a 64MP main sensor, an 8MP ultra wide lens and a 2MP macro camera. While for selfies we have a 20MP snapper.
The POCO phone also packs a 4700mAh capacity battery with support for a whopping 120W fast charging.
3. Redmi Note 11T Pro
Next, if you want a powerful handset and save money at the same time, the Redmi Note 11T Pro is probably the best option for you. The smartphone does indeed come with the powerful Dimensity 8100 Max SoC; along with 6GB/8GB of RAM and 128GB/256GB of storage.
The Redmi Note 11T Pro also brings a great 6.6-inch display with Full HD+ resolution, a whopping 144Hz refresh rate and 270Hz touch sampling rate.
Meanwhile for photos the smartphone brings a 64MP main shooter paired with an 8MP ultra wide lens and a 2MP macro camera. For selfies, there’s a 16MP at the front.
Finally, the Redmi Note 11T Pro packs a 5080mAh capacity battery with support for 67W fast charging.
4. Realme GT 2
Next, we have the Realme GT 2 launched back in January. The smartphone features the powerful Snapdragon 888 chipset; coupled with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.
On the Realme GT 2 we also find a large 6.62-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 1000Hz touch sampling rate.
Photography wise, the handset comes with a 50MP resolution main camera; paired with an 8MP ultra wide-angle lens and 2MP macro lens. At the front there’s a 16MP selfie snapper.
Finally, the Realme GT 2 is fueled by a large 5000mAh battery with support for 65W fast charging.
Best Smartphones for Under $500
5. Samsung Galaxy S21 FE 5G
Last but not least, for the Samsung aficionados out there we have the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE 5G. The handset features a powerful Snapdragon 888; along with 6Gb of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.
The Samsung Galaxy S21 FE 5G is also very compact as it equips a “small” 6.4-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.
As for the photos, the Samsung phone integrates a 12MP main sensor, paired with a 13MP ultra wide angle lens and an 8MP telephoto lens. For selfies there’s a 32MP snapper at the front.
Finally, the Galaxy S21 FE 5G is fueled by a 4500mAh capacity battery with support for 25W fast charging, 15W wireless charging and 4.5W reverse wireless charging.
