It is from a different package from a different developer could be the same idfk I have 5 developers packages and 1 from AT&T which you said also resets the WiFi password so now I give up and I'll just keep my battery life and you go stock until someone gives you a good kernel. I can't please everyone and personally I'm not trying to anyways I don't make kernels I mod things and my next trick is the bootloader I been working on so I don't got time to nit pick every little detail and hash it out.

I appreciate the help and have said so and was literally just telling you it was the same file. It was just strange how the story went from we could get stock back to we have to keep eng kernel.

I am personally using the first one you posted and having no problems at all. No wifi issues, no rebooting, nothing. My N920A is working just as I want to. I love it. Thanks for your hard work. Really appreciate it! :good:

It is that the words you used to tell him it was the same file and did not work for you sound a little rough and rude.

You're right. What works for one not necessarily will work for all.

If it works on eng kern that is awesome, but it would have been nice to know ahead of time. Anything will work on the buggy eng kern including root.

The fact is that the whole situation was built on the fact the guide said we could switch back to a stable stock kern. The eng kern blocks Samsung Pay has many bugs and sets your status to custom.

I said thank you and I did appreciate the help. Acting like you are changing everything for me is crazy. Lol the original guide that I helped you figure out WAS wrong and was the only thing I changed.

Systemless my dude , hopefully you find a recovery to flash su, but I know my dude Ashyx can build TWRP he was cool enough to do it for a six pack for my devive J3 2017 Emerge...throw him a bounty im sure ue would consider. Dudes the shiz regardless so maybe he can just help u, or if u get the kernel I can have a go at building one if you yave fastboot, since there is a way to fastboot boot the img without flashing it, but I am a rookie developer if that , i just repair ,flash, customize capable phones

    NO PM'D QUESTIONS.
alot of you are asking the same questions don't PM me ask here.....i thought that was the point of making a thread.....

(No security issue have yet been found after build.prop edit finished.)
I'll pull it from the file and post it.....but your root boot thing won't work after that......adb requires eng kernel to send commands like setenforce 0
Meaning you will be in boot loop till you reodin the eng kernel only.if your rooted still.

Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N920A using XDA-Developers mobile app
I don't care about having temp root. Just mod it then leave it alone. And I need better yet battery one that doesn't die before 3 because it won't sleep.
Do you have the original kern? This is way too buggy for my enjoyment.

Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N920A using Tapatalk
ill extract it, for you whom want to change the build.prop and revert back to the org. kernel
i found the eng. kernel only to be good for changing things and going back to the org. kernel
otherwise the eng. kernel is not worth a thing its too damn buggy and lags the hell out of the phone to the point of retardation.
I noticed by your pic that is a lot better.

This is what I did: I edited the build.prop using exactly the same editor that you used. Edited the lines that already were in the phone and added the ones that weren't at the end of the file. Followed the adb instructions as you posted them and everything went smoothly. But the battery won't last as expected. Do the new lines should be added at an specific place in the build.prop or is that ok to add them at the end?

Thanks for your hard work and for your help. Really appreciate it.

Send a copy to [email protected] I'll fix and send back.
