How to Fix Twitch Sound Issues on Windows 11

Twitch isn't much fun when you can't hear what's going on. Here's how to fix sound issues with Twitch on Windows 11.

Twitch is a live streaming platform that mainly focuses on video game streams. But many users are experiencing sound-related issues on Twitch. To be specific, Twitch fails to play sound during live streams.

What Causes Sound Issues on Twitch?

Although there can be multiple reasons why Twitch fails to play sound during streams, below are some of the common culprits that can trigger the issue:

1. Relaunch Twitch and Your Browser

2. Run the Windows Audio Troubleshooter

Windows comes with a built-in audio troubleshooter, with which you can resolve sound-related issues on the system. You can run the audio troubleshooter on Windows 11 by following the below steps:

1. Open Settings using Win + I.
2. Choose Troubleshoot under the System tab.
3. Click on Other troubleshooters.
4. Click on Run next to Playing Audio.
5. The troubleshooting window will pop up and look for the problem.

Once the process is complete, reboot the system and check if Twitch is still having trouble.

3. Download the Latest Audio Driver Updates

Most audio-related issues in Windows result from outdated or corrupt audio drivers. As such, try updating the audio driver to resolve the problem. Here's how:

6. Change the Internet Properties Settings

If webpage sound settings are disabled within Windows 11, it will prevent Twitch from playing audio. Fortunately, all you need to do is re-enable it to get everything work again. Here's how.
