Citizen Sleeper Is Getting Three Free DLC Episodes in One Year

The first free chapter is expected to arrive in July

Citizen Sleeper is one of the best indie games of 2022, not just according to critics, but players have enjoyed the provocative sci-fi RPG set in an RPG universe. Launched back in May, Citizen Sleeper is developed by Jump Over the Age, a one-man studio that also brought us In Other Waters, another indie gem that fans of the genre should definitely play.

Well, it looks like the game has been so successful that Jump Over The Age (aka Gareth Damian Martin) decided to release additional content for Citizen Sleeper. During the PC Gaming Show over the weekend, publisher Fellow Traveler revealed that Citizen Sleeper will be getting no less than three DLC episodes in about one year.

More importantly, all the additional content will be available for free for all Citizen Sleeper owners, which makes this an amazing deal for those who already bought the game. According to the announcement, the three new episodes will be released throughout 2022 and into 2023 and are meant to deepen the lore of the game.

The upcoming episodes will also add new characters, story and quest lines, although it will be up to the player to discover them on Erlin’s Eye. For example, the first episode, FLUX, launching in July will introduced a new story that expands across the three updates.

Not only that, FLUX will add a new character called Eshe, a stubborn and driven spacer whose fate becomes entangles with the refugee ship. Her story will challenge players to rely on more than just the roll of dice to deal with a growing crisis that threatens the entire stations.

The second free episode is supposed to drop sometime in October 2022, while a third is scheduled to arrive in 2023. Citizen Sleeper is available on PC and Nintendo Switch, but Xbox Game Pass members can play it for free.
