Oh I didn't even boot into it. I just thought flashing all the necessary partitions was the key. Why would it make a difference to make a VoLTE call on stock?

I did make a call on stock yes to test that it works. Not sure how that would make a difference though when I wipe everything in between? But I'm mostly a noob at this. But I have the same issue, can't make calls on cricket wireless (At&T). Seems to be a gsm or volte issue.

It gets provisioned in EFS which you don't wipe between.

AT&T is a special child. Are you sure VoLTE showed as working on stock?

Yes. I actually just got back on stock now. I could make a call another call and post screenshots or something if needed. haha. and yes, ATT is a pain in my butt too. lol. edit - I just made another call on stock and it works on stock.

ZubaZ, what ROM are you using for stock? Also what does it say the vendor patch level is?

Because I was lazy I just used the moto/lenovo 'repair tool' and had it flash whatever version their tool picked. I also was having trouble finding a new stock version for lake xt1965-t.

Unfortunately I still can't find a Lineage version that is working for me. I might try another ROM later today and see if I have any better luck on that.

I built the rom today from the latest updates which apparently had june 2022 security update. It doesn't have the updated security. It's still showing May.
Am I missing something?

The next build will have it. Look for the Security update line https://download.lineageos.org/lake/changes/ . Typically you won't see the current month's security patch level until the latter half of the month. Don't be surprised if it's not showing up until the last week of the month. It takes time to merge stuff.

we haven't merged the June ASB yet.

Well the changes show that the June update was merged on 9th which is why I thought to do a repo sync and try a build. I keep an eye on the changes and build when I see they're merged.

Ah that commit is just the tags in preperation to merge platform wide.

Good news. Flashing to stock enabled VoLTE and calls over wifi. Then I reflashed to LOS 19.1 (with NikGapps core) . At first I got no mobile data connection to tmobile, but a restart fixed that problem. Now it shows the phone as registered and it's doing "HD" calls and wifi calls. Interestingly, my vendor security patch level still shows as Feb 2021. I expected it to be later.

Stressful process, especially since I flashed the stock ROM entirely by hand with fastboot flash commands (I wasn't sure the 5-part sparse system image would copy correctly). But I'm so happy now that it all worked. Thanks so much npjohnson. I really appreciate your guidance here.
