Sci-Fi Survival Horror The Callisto Protocol Arrives on December 2

From the creator of Dead Space comes a brand-new IP

Now that Starfield, Redfall and all other triple A games (with a few exceptions) have been delayed to 2023, The Callisto Protocol has just become one of the most anticipated games of 2022. Not that it was racing against the other titles that have been delayed considering its pedigree, but at least it won’t have any competition now.

The Callisto Protocol is the new game coming from the Dead Space creator, game director Glen Schofield. His new studio Striking Distance Studio has partnered with South Korean giant KRAFTON for The Callisto Protocol, a new sci-fi survival horror game in the same vein as Dead Space.

The game is set on Jupiter’s dead moon Callisto in the year 2320, as players try to escape the maximum-security Black Iron Prison to uncover the terrifying secrets of the United Jupiter Company. Players will need to search their surroundings and adapt their tactics, using a unique blend of shooting and close-quarters combat to survive a mysterious outbreak that has thrown Callisto into chaos.

The developers have chosen Josh Duhamel to play Jacob Lee, a cargo ship pilot trapped deep within Black Iron Prison, and Karen Fukuhara, star of The Boys, who plays a mysterious fellow inmate.

The Callisto Protocol is a next-generation take on survival horror that mixes brutal combat with a deeply human story in a terrifying sci-fi world. The game will be available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC on December 2.
