In addition, a report claims that updating to the iOS 16 system reduces the battery by 3% instantly. The latest complaint regarding the iOS 16 system is with respect to its support list. Having provided five years of major upgrades, the iOS 16 dumps the iPhone 7.

Unfortunately, the iPhone 7 series is still very popular and many users continue to use this smartphone. Apple is facing collective complaints from users after announcing that iOS 16 will not support the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. This system will bring major changes and customizations to the lock screen, long-awaited changes in iMessage like marking as unread and message editing, and more.

iOS 15 supports devices as old as the second-generation iPhone SE, including the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. While iOS 16 was expected to drop support for the iPhone 6S, iPhone 6S Plus, and the now-discontinued iPod touch, Apple surprisingly dropped support for the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus as well.

Some developers have said that Apple can make iOS 16 support the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, but only disable some newer CPUs and ML-related heavy-duty features. In doing so, iPhone 7 users will still benefit from the performance and security enhancements that iOS 16 offers, as well as small improvements like the ability to edit iMessages that don’t require a lot of CPU work.

From the images, iOS 16 will redraw the desktop icons. This will bring users an innovative feeling and adds many long-awaited practical functions. Among other features, this system will add shortcut icons at the bottom of the lock screen interface. It also supports customization, App resource library can be resident in the Dock bar. Furthermore, this system will bring interactive desktop widgets, multiple timers, and an application lock. It will also add a calculator support history, a new multitasking switching interface, a new control centre, and more.

The iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus were released in September 2016. The iPhone 7 Plus was the first iPhone to feature a dual camera. Both models were the first to get rid of the physical home button and replace it with a tactile button. The iPhone 7 also marked the end of the headphone jack on the iPhone’s body.
