It looks like @jef_00 was promoted to official maintainer of the 12 builds on the Pixel Experience website. Congratulations. The thread title should be updated and the links in the op should go to the Pixel Experience website.

Thank you buddy will do that!

Hello,
thanks for the great new ROM it works almost problem free. Much, much better than the current OnePlus. I made a small donation for the great work.
Three things that do not work 100% yet.

1. GPS signal unstable I use in the car a radar detector app this loses since Android 12 regularly the GPS fix. I also have this problem with Google Maps. The problem only occurs indoors or in the car, so where the GPS signal is not so good. Before Android 12, this was not a problem.

2. the camera is not really good and camera mods make things better but not perfect.

3. the fingerprint sensor is very capricious, sometimes it works sometimes not.

Is it possible to improve these three points a bit in the future?

Thanks for your time and great work!

Sorry for my bad English...

Greetings
Andreas
Any chance too add support for instantnoodle aka op8?

Hello everyone,

I'm in the desperate position to ask for your help after trying everything possible to unbrick my OP8Pro.

I followed the guidelines from the wiki of PixelExperience (which are a bit different in order) and apparently my phone is stuck in Bootloader. I have tried anything I read on the web, but no luck yet. I can't check if MSM works because Qualcomn driver is not correctly installed and my device is recognized as "Android". Flashing other recoveries haven't helped either. It feels so weird (even product name is "kona" which is for OP8T).

Please, can you help me? Feel free to suggest anything.

Of course I can provide you with further info.

Use another PC, install Qualcomm drivers there as intended and use the original USB cable.

I'll try that and I'll get back here! 🤞
Thanks!

I tried using another PC but nothing changed. My device (while in fastboot) is recognized as "Android" with a triangle and "fastboot devices" can't see it (while in linux my pc can see it).

Please, any ideas on how to move forward? I don't see any way of managing to run the MSM.

Thanks in advance!

I am pretty sure you did not install the Qualcomm device drivers properly. Pls describe how you installed the drivers and provide some screenshots of the device manager.

FINALLY! I did it!

I re-installed the Qualcomn drivers but still couldn't move forward. Then I entered Windows Test mode and finally the drivers worked!

After this, I faced several difficulties (entering EDL mode was the hardest one) but I finally managed to run the MSM and un-brick my OP8Pro.

If anyone faces the same issues and needs advice, please feel free to ask.

In order to avoid similar situations, what are the right steps for flashing PixelExperience for the first time?

The procedure is different here compared to the official installation guide.

Here:
1. copy partitions
2. flash recovery (using 3 commands)
3. factory reset
4. flash rom

vs.

Official guide:
1. unlock the bootloader
2. flash recovery (using 1 command)
3. copy partitions
4. flash rom

Please, share your feedback in order to understand which order of actions is safer and does not brick the OP8Pro.

I followed the instructions on the official website.

Following exactly the instructions from the official website bricked my phone.

The combination that actually worked in my case is a mixture of those two cases, which is the following:

1. USB debugging and OEM unlock in Android developer settings, plus setup for adb and fastboot in your PC
2. Bootloader and flashing of recovery image running:
fastboot flash recovery <recovery_filename>.img fastboot reboot fastboot fastboot flash --slot=all recovery <recovery_filename>.img
3. Reboot to recovery
fastboot reboot recovery
4. Flash "copy-partitions" as explained in both cases
5. Reboot to recovery again
6. Install rom as explained in both cases (factory resetting, adb sideload filename.zip, etc.)

Great ROM by the way!
