6月7日凌晨，苹果在WWDC2022大会上，正式发布了新一代自研芯片苹果M2。
M2采用台积电第二代5纳米工艺，200亿晶体管（比M1多25%），最高24GB 100GB每秒带宽的统一内存，新的神经网络引擎（每秒15.8万亿次运算，提升40%）和8K H.264和HEVC视频解码器。
4个性能核+4个能效核的8核CPU，性能提升18%，同功耗下是10核PC笔记本的1.9倍性能，25%的功耗能做到12核PC笔记本90%性能。有8核和10核GPU可选，后者同功耗下提升25%，峰值提升35%。
