Description

Our Mission 🚀

Stacker is on a mission to let anyone create software, by building a platform to let you instantly create apps from the data you already have. We were founded in 2017, and are backed by Y Combinator and Initialized Capital, two of the most successful start-up programs in the world that have produced companies including Airbnb, Stripe, and Reddit. 🤩 Last August we raised $20 million at Series A through Andreessen Horowitz (a16z).

The role

We're seeking an experienced Head of Engineering to take our business and engineering community to new heights.

You’ll partner with Sam, our Co-founder & CTO, to collaborate on shaping our B2B no-code app builder that brings the power of software to anyone and everyone. This means we can tackle endless use cases in multiple industries across a global market.

Our engineering team is currently 14 with an expectation for you to help us double in the next 6-12 months.

Your Responsibilities 🖥

In simple terms, here’s a snapshot of three core areas you’ll oversee for engineering; People, Process, and Technology.

People:

  • We’re committed to an A-player culture with high talent density. We’re already seeing the value of this mindset and approach, and we know it’s a big ask. It’s something that differentiates our role opportunity, business & product from others
  • Responsive to developer experience and personal development, leading with empathy and inspiring teams to be highly engaged with Stacker
  • Driving tech teams forward to new levels through both people leadership and technical thought leadership

Process:

  • Assessing our maturity and adaptability and making improvements to remove bureaucracy that will elevate customer and developer experience
  • Powering up our technical capability across our architecture and removing bottlenecks

Technology:

  • Setting and aligning strategic programme goals to achieve scalable architecture across our portfolio, steering priorities towards the right and needed activities
  • Finger on the pulse with modern technologies and ensuring we have the needed tools in place to get the best job done
