Google Introduces New AI Features in Workspace

Google’s latest AI developments are aimed at assisting employees in focusing on what matters, collaborating securely, and strengthening human relationships across all work modes and locations.

Google has been integrating machine-learning in its cloud-based Workspace platform with the goal of making workdays more efficient and impactful. These latest AI advancements are now intended to assist employees in focusing on what matters most, collaborating securely, and improving human connections across a wide range of work environments.

Customers of Google have stated that hybrid work has resulted in an increase in the volume of emails, chats, and meetings in their businesses, resulting in information overload for many employees. Some of the latest AI advances are aimed at addressing this issue, but there are also other valuable enhancements.

Google explained that machine-learning is being used to improve the Google Meet meeting experience to make it easier for individuals to connect and share rich material.

Google is also introducing updates to image, sound, and content sharing features later this year. Portrait repair makes use of Google's artificial intelligence to help improve the quality of video by tackling challenges like low light, low-quality webcams, and poor network connectivity. This processing is done automatically in the cloud to improve video quality without slowing down the device.

Live sharing, another new feature, promises to make hybrid sessions in Google Meet more interactive by synchronizing media and content across participants. Whether it's viewing an icebreaker video from YouTube or sharing a playlist, users will be able to share controls and engage immediately within the meeting.

Google Docs now features updated and enhanced automated summaries, allowing workers to catch up on missed interactions quickly and simply. Google Workspace was designed with a zero-trust security strategy in mind, including enterprise-grade access management, data protection, encryption, and endpoint protections.

The company says that they look to improve users' quality of work, and they will continue to implement intelligent capabilities across Google Workspace as hybrid work evolves.
