SpatialLabs Adds Sketchfab Integration

Back to overview 31 May 2022

We are pleased to announce that Acer SpatialLabs View Pro, a stereoscopic 3D display, now supports the import and display of Sketchfab models.

The SpatialLabs Model Viewer, which utilizes Unreal Engine’s technology, allows designers to view and control models—including their animations, lighting, and backgrounds—in real-time stereoscopic 3D.

Acer SpatialLabs’ new integration with Sketchfab means that a user can download and view any of Sketchfab’s 800,000+ free, Creative Commons-licensed models to their device with just one click in the SpatialLabs Model Viewer. Models can be found within the SpatialLabs Model Viewer interface via keyword search or navigation through model categories.

How to import a model into the SpatialLabs Model Viewer

  1. Click on the Sketchfab logo at the top of the navigation bar on the left side of the SpatialLabs Model Viewer window.
  2. Log in to your Sketchfab account.
  3. Search for and select a model to import into the viewer. Click on the thumbnail to begin import.
  4. Once your selected model is loaded, use your mouse to rotate and navigate the model as you would on Sketchfab.
