I joined a hackathon 6 months ago. I coded the most primitive version of API MAKER in 2 days. Not even Notion was in the plan. The product received 1 vote. Only 1 jury voted. That very valuable person said let's test this product. Having said that, I coded the product by myself within 4 months. For the other 2 months, I dealt with the technical details of the product. Now, this product is finished. It is before you now.

I had impostor syndrome most of the time during the process. So it felt like the product would never end. I entered periods when I was constantly adding additional features. I must tell you absolutely: do not overwhelm the product with features before releasing it. 😂 It is very effective as motivation. 🙂

Developers produce APIs for developers to use. But API MAKER is not in this positioning. The promise of API MAKER is to be APIs produced by creators and used by developers. Developer !=> Developer. Creator => Developer.

The thing I hear most in this process is Notion's API. Why would we use API MAKER? You are right Notion has API. But my target audience is creators. The creator does not know the code. And he needs to know the code to use Notion APIs. 😀 But you said it can be used with Notion Duplicate. So... Yes it can be used. But if you make changes to the original Notion page, the duplicated pages will not be updated! The API is updated in MAKER. It offers up-to-dateness and ease of use.

There is only one type of coding. JSON output. GET.

In the update you brought to the site in one of the previous feedbacks, will the old API infrastructure be used or will it change? Because there are outputs out of the target. Like ID or TYPE. In fact, it is to extract the product in its simplest form. In the new feature, they will be fixed, but when it is fixed, the URL structure will change. The old build will still work. For example /API?token=123 will work as /API?token=123&version=2. So so. We will determine these on the way. Let's have a good day first. 🙂
