Apple pioneered a new approach in the mobile market a couple of years ago when it decided to sell the iPhone with nothing more than a cable in the box.

Giving up on the charger, Apple said, was something that made perfect sense, pretty much because most people out there already have one at home. And if they don’t, they can always buy one from the Apple Store.

While the world initially received this approach with much criticism, pretty much all mobile companies out there followed suit, giving up on chargers as well.

Samsung is one of them, as the company’s latest flagships also include nothing more than a cable in the box.

Sony, however, has pushed the whole thing a step further. The latest Xperia comes all alone in the box, as the parent company isn’t even offering a cable, a SIM card tool, or papers. That’s right, the only thing you’ll find inside is the phone itself and nothing more.

YouTuber Marques Brownlee, or MKBHD, highlighted this unusual approach on Twitter, along with a photo that showed the new Xperia box and the phone itself.

Go home, Samsung, you need to sleep

Samsung, however, somehow believed it was the one the tweet was aimed at. In a direct reply to MKBHD, Samsung Canada offered to lend the YouTuber a hand and get him in touch with someone from customer support.

“Hi Marques, thank you for bringing this to our attention. Kindly DM us your contact details – we’ll have a member of our Customer Support team look into this,” the tweet read.

Of course, the original post had nothing to do with Samsung, so people online now think the South Korean company has a sense of guilt, and maybe this is why it got involved in the conversation.

On the other hand, there’s a good chance someone at Samsung Canada didn’t necessarily pay attention to the tweet and believed it was a Samsung phone in the tweet.
