苹果公司正在测试放弃Lightning转接口转用Type-C接口的iPhone，或因面临欧盟立法强制使用USB-C转接口。据报道，iPhone的接口切换不会在2023年之前实现。
此前分析师郭明錤认为，改用USB-C接口可以提高iPhone传输、充电速度，但具体规格还要看iOS如何支持。
