5月5日，Tether的CTO Paolo Ardoino在采访时表示，计划做的是继续做我们正在做的事情，也就是说，真正成为人民的工具。我们并没有真正参与DeFi。可以看到，DeFi确实是针对其他稳定币的。我们并不是真的试图针对银行。我们并不是真的想针对华尔街。Tether的总目标市场是全球20亿没有银行账户的人，他们无法信任或负担不起在其国家使用法定储备银行账户的费用。这一使命重点不是为华尔街追逐季度利润，是Bitfinix和Tether不会进行首次公开募股（IPO）的原因。（Crypto Potato）
