北京时间9月2日消息，谷歌日前发出邀请函，邀请相关人员参加9月15日在印度举行的发布会，根据发布会的地点来看，分析人士指出这次发布会可能推出期待已久的Android One智能手机。
今年六月份举行的Google I/O大会上首次对外公开了Android One，这个为发展中市场量身定做的Android，在公开之初就联合了印度的多家厂商，比如Karbonn、Micromax和Spice，而现在则可能有更多地区的厂商加入。
谷歌为什么要推出Android One？一方面是为了打造低成本智能手机，服务于新兴市场潜在的近10亿用户，另一方面谷歌希望在初级用户那重新控制Android生态系统。
谷歌Android、Chrome和应用高级副总裁Sundar Pichai告诉国外媒体称，谷歌不会减少Android One硬件，相反，Sundar Pichai希望通过在谷歌和OME厂商之间资源共享，能够保持生产总成本。
