电邮客户端 Mozilla Thunderbird 的最新 Beta 版本默认启用了对 Matrix 的支持。Matrix 是一个端对端加密、去中心化的实时通讯系统。没有中心服务器。Thunderbird 的最新版本改进了 Matrix 实现，端对端加密支持基本完成，支持显示格式化信息，home server discovery，消息编辑，延迟加载房间成员，等等。
