Just gave this a try, and it's an interesting idea. I don't like the idea of companies checking social media of employees but they can if they want I guess. However, it brought up completely unrelated profiles for my test emails that I tried!

It seems like the attempts to match are based on the username being the same as the email? So if I put in the email is for example [email protected], it comes up with all the `jake` usernames it can find, which are not at all associated to the email.

If I got rejected from a company because they had found and acted on social media or things that weren't actually me, I'd be absolutely fuming. I guess I would be more mad at the company for falling for it, but the tool plays a part too.

If I were hiring and saw this I would likely realise it wasn't the person, but that then also takes away the point of using this tool.

Are there other options to correlate the email with accounts? Or maybe like a rating of the correlation?

Firstly, it seems to be really of use, especially in a day when it's really important, what's inside candidate's head. But on the other hand, it's "big brother watching you" and other too-close-to-punish-for-mindcrimes practice. So that's what I think about this product: it's nice but it would be better if there never was a kind of necessity for such products to appear :/ upvoted
