Epic Games 正式发布了最新的游戏开发工具集《虚幻引擎 5》。Epic Games 可能以热门游戏《堡垒之夜》闻名，但它的核心业务一直是虚幻引擎。虚幻引擎可供开发者免费使用，Epic 将在游戏收入超过 100 万美元后抽取 5% 的分成。《虚幻引擎 5》是最新的开发工具，随着游戏开发的日益复杂，部分曾以自研引擎闻名的游戏工作室开始放弃了自己的引擎而转而使用虚幻引擎 5。CD Projekt RED 最近宣布用虚幻引擎开发《猎魔人》系列的下一款作品，Crystal Dynamics 刚刚宣布以虚幻引擎开发下一款《古墓丽影》游戏。
