3月28日，美国证券交易委员会（SEC）发起一项新规则提案，计划扩大受监管交易商（dealers）的定义，将采用被动做市策略（employ passive market making strategies）的相关方包括在内，后者对他人具有提供流动性的效果。此外该项规则草案脚注表示，拟议的规则也适用于被视为证券的数字资产。Delphi Digital总法律顾问Gabriel Shapiro发推表示，如果该提案被接受并执行，可能会扼杀DeFi。
