Morilla关闭Firefox Reality 推出新浏览器Wolvic
Firefox Reality VR网页浏览器经过四年的运行，Morilla宣布将关闭Firefox Reality，开源开发公司Igalia会接手该浏览器技术，并同步推出一款基于Firefox Reality源代码的新的浏览器Wolvic用以代替，Firefox Reality浏览器会在未来几周内从商店中移除。
据了解，Firefox Reality于2018年秋季首次推出，并已通过其各种应用商店在Viveport、Oculus、Pico和Hololens平台上提供。在接下来的几年里，Mozilla还将它带到了Quest和PC VR头戴设备上。
Wolvic是基于Firefox Reality的源代码二次开发的，其中包括对WebXR内容和隐私/安全性的原生支持。Igalia表示，它的首要重点是为基于Android的独立XR系统和 HarmonyOS系留系统提供服务，该公司表示，它还希望在未来支持高通和联想XR设备。
Igalia的开发者Brian Kardell表示：“我们很高兴Firefox Reality浏览器技术将在Igalia下继续进行，利用这项工作来创建新的浏览器Wolvic。”
据悉，Wolvic将于本周推出基于AOSP的独立XR系统和HarmonyOS系留系统，如Oculus，Huawei VR Glass，Vive，Pico和Lynx。但是Wolvic版本仍将处于“测试阶段”，因为Igalia仍将过渡Mozilla提供的一些功能。
